Job Description: Global energy is seeking a skilled and proactive Network Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of our computer networks, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. This role requires a thorough understanding of network infrastructure and hardware, as well as strong troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure to support company operations.
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Configure and maintain network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
- Perform network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues and outages.
- Conduct network performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of network configurations, processes, and service records.
- Implement and oversee network-related projects and initiatives.
- Provide technical support and training to staff on network-related issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Network Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS).
- Proficiency in network security (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC).
- Experience with networking hardware (routers, switches, load balancers).
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, Cisco IOS).
- Hands-on experience with network management tools (Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds).
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure Networking) is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are highly desirable.
